The kick-off event of the month of indulgence (March 19 - April 30, 2026) will take place this year at the ErlebnisQuartier in St. Wolfgang.
Kick-off event "Salt in the Soup 2026" - Regional. Delicious. Together.The Culinary Month in the Salzkammergut starts with a special kick-off: the kick-off event at Restaurant EQ in St. Wolfgang. In an atmospheric setting, producers from all seven regions will present their high-quality foods and provide personal insights into their craft. Guests can taste the products directly on site and experience the diversity of the region with all their senses.
Each destination brings along one or more producers and makes their culinary identity tangible:
After the presentation of the producers, the dinner begins at 17:00 in the gallery of the event location. The students of the Bad Ischl tourism school will serve specially developed dishes made from the products of the participating businesses. A special highlight of the evening is the live cooking by the Bad Ischl School of Tourism's talent forge : creative dishes are created from the producers' ingredients, combining authentic craftsmanship with young skills and modern culinary artistry.
The kick-off event invites you to rediscover the culinary identity of the Salzkammergut, get to know the producers personally and start an enjoyable year of events together.
