Parent Workshop: A Diagnosis of Dyslexia—What Now?
On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., we invite parents to the Strobl Library for the parent workshop “Diagnosed with Dyslexia—What Now?” You’ll learn what a reading and spelling disability means for your child and what support options are available. Together, we’ll discuss how parents can empower their child in everyday life, support them in their learning, and boost their self-confidence. During the evening, we’ll clarify how to recognize effective learning resources, what to avoid, and how a diagnosis at school can also be seen as an opportunity.
The parent workshop will be led by dyslexia and dyscalculia coach Kerstin Maier-Posch, who currently works under supervision with children who have reading and spelling disorders and has actually been an elementary school teacher for many years.
Admission is free. The event is sponsored by the BVÖ with funding from the BMWKMS library support program. Please register at bibliothek@gemeinde-strobl.at. We look forward to an inspiring exchange—and to fostering learning together.
