In the fall of 2024, Salzburg-based photographer and “dream gardener” Norbert Kopf spent six weeks traveling through Japan, spending much of his time in Kyoto, the cultural heart of the country. His journey took him to impressive temples and gardens, colorful markets, extraordinary natural spectacles, and encounters with the local people.

Through his photographs and personal stories, Norbert Kopf takes the audience on a special journey—to the outward beauty of Japan and the quiet, often hidden impressions that make this country so unique.
