BACON WITH PEAR SPARKLING WINE!
Not far from the Kräuterhaus in St. Wolfgang, you can enjoy old Austrian delicacies with a "fine drop" downstairs in the "Mieze Schindler", while upstairs you can enjoy a luxurious holiday in a holiday flat. A successful catering concept from Elizabeth and Ronald Eichenauer.
While luxury flats are rented out on the upper floors of the lavishly and stylishly restored townhouse, you can enjoy a truly rustic and stylish meal in the originally furnished alleyway pub. A mixture of wine bar and "bacon boutique" is probably the best way to describe the restaurant.
Here you can enjoy specialities from all over Austria, or more precisely from "Old Austria and its former crown lands": exquisite delicacies from South Tyrol alongside delicious regional products from the Salzkammergut, such as "Hallstatt-Prosciutto" from Zauner in Hallstatt - a Mangalitza-Prosciutto that has been matured in salt for a year. Plus classics such as homemade Liptauer, "Erdäpfelkas" or "a echte Bratlfettn." Fine wine specialities from Austria and South Tyrol complete the range. "Personally, I particularly like the bacon from Kofler, accompanied by a glass of "Puszta Libré". But a glass of pear sparkling wine with the bacon is also a recommendation. Or both," laughs Ronald Eichenauer.
Incidentally, "Mieze Schindler" is an old garden strawberry variety that is not grown for yield, but for flavour. The name certainly promises what you can expect here: only the best quality.
