Fire & Flame - A Culinary Get-Together, Including Dinner

The Salzkammergut region epitomizes indulgence, hospitality, and culinary diversity like no other. On April 10, 2027, the Scalaria on Lake Wolfgang will serve as the setting for an extraordinary culinary experience: “Fire & Flame – A Culinary Get-Together” combines top-notch cuisine, a competition, entertainment, and the unique atmosphere of the Salzkammergut into one exclusive evening.

The highlight of the evening is the spectacular Blind Cooking Challenge. Five of the region’s most renowned chefs will compete live against one another for the coveted Genussgipfel Trophy. The challenge demands creativity, technical skill, and nerves of steel—because the participants won’t learn which ingredients they must use until just seconds before the start.

Last year’s winner, Josef Schöndorfer Jr., is responsible for selecting the secret ingredients. He will also chair the high-caliber panel of judges. Following in the footsteps of Sebastian Leutgeb and Josef Schöndorfer Jr., the big question remains: Who will add their name to the list of winners in 2027? Guests get to experience the star chefs up close like almost nowhere else. They can look over their shoulders as they cook and experience the excitement of the competition firsthand.

Scalaria becomes a culinary paradise
But “Feuer & Flamme” is far more than just a cooking competition. On this evening, the entire event venue transforms into a world of culinary experiences. The region’s rich culinary diversity is showcased at various tasting stations. The chefs at Scalaria also demonstrate their skills and treat guests to a first-class menu.
