You never stop learning…
The Woodstock Academy. A program with rough edges. Featuring musicians. And yet, it all comes together perfectly. Together, we’re continuing our educational journey—a sort of professional development program, if you will. And we’ve been doing this for more than four years now. In 2026, the Woodstock Academy will take place for the second time around the beautiful Lake Wolfgang—in the three towns of St. Gilgen, Strobl, and St. Wolfgang.
The Woodstock Academy is the educational arm of the Woodstock Brass Music Festival and combines musical training and professional development with that incomparable Woodstock vibe. It takes place in late October in the three towns of St. Gilgen, Strobl, and St. Wolfgang around Lake Wolfgang.
Our focus here is on combining learning with socializing. On mastering your instrument better. On learning new techniques and methods. On getting to know people who share a love of music. The Woodstock Academy is for everyone. Professionals, amateurs, and music enthusiasts come together here. While maintaining a safe distance, of course. Everything is optional—nothing is mandatory. The range of possibilities is diverse—from workshops to private lessons, from musical hikes to musicians’ get-togethers. Much is included in the basic package; everything else can be managed in your personal schedule.
It’s meant to be cozy. It’s meant to be musical.
