Pilgrimage im Austria

Lake Wolfgangsee and St. Wolfgang were already visited by up to 80,000 pilgrims a year in the late Middle Ages and the region was one of the pilgrimage centres of the Christian West.  The ancient cultural and pilgrimage route has been recognised by radiesthesists and scientists as having ‘places of power’.

At Lake Wolfgangsee, pilgrimage trails await you that are so breathtakingly beautiful that you will immediately forget the stress of everyday life. For example, walk along the Wolfgangweg from Regensburg to Lake Wolfgangsee in the footsteps of St Wolfgang. One of the most famous pilgrimage routes in Europe is the Via Nova. Also known as the European Pilgrimage Route, it leads through three countries! And then there is the St Rupert pilgrimage route, which connects Salzburg with Bavaria.
