Surrounded by an impressive mountain landscape, a diverse backdrop unfolds, inviting you to explore. The Postalm, Austria’s largest alpine plateau, also offers numerous opportunities for relaxing experiences in nature. Autumn at Lake Wolfgang is rounded off by a wealth of culinary delights – from traditional treats to regional alpine specialities.
When temperatures settle below 25°C in autumn and you fancy a stroll during the day, there are plenty of walking routes just waiting to be explored.
You can take a leisurely bus ride to Austria’s largest alpine plateau – the Postalm – where you’ll find numerous hiking trails and cosy alpine huts. The hiking bus operates by advance booking only.
Hikers and cyclists can refuel at the alpine huts with specialities produced right there on the spot – cheese, milk, bacon, bread, hearty pastries and a good schnapps to finish.
